Background of the Training Program

Jabil Circuit Penang is a leading electronics manufacturing services provider, where efficient and safe material handling is vital to daily operations. Forklifts are used extensively to move heavy components and finished goods across the factory floor. However, improper use of forklifts can lead to accidents, injuries, and damage to goods.

To address these challenges, Jabil collaborated with Masma Northern, a reputable training provider specializing in industrial safety programs. The Safe Handling Forklift Program was designed as a series of training sessions, each accommodating around 20 participants. This approach ensures personalized attention and hands-on practice for every trainee.

  • Identify the hazard and risk related to forklift

  • Recognize suitable control measure to reduce forklift hazard and risk

  • Implement safe handling of forklift

The program spanned two full days, held on 5 and 6 November 2025. Each day combined theoretical lessons with practical exercises to reinforce learning. The small group size allowed instructors to provide individual feedback and address specific concerns.
